Add a birthday field to Address Book

Remembering the birthdays of family and friends is important. If you’re like me and have trouble remembering last Tuesday, you’ll appreciate the flexibility of Address Book to include optional fields, including the birthday field. Here’s how.

To add the birthday field, go to Address Book → Preferences and click the Template icon in the toolbar. You’ll notice a combo box near the top labeled Add Field. Click that and select Birthday from the pop-up list. Close the preference dialog and you’re done.
