The Text to Speech feature in Mac OS X Leopard sounds more human than ever, thanks to the Alex System Voice. Have you ever wished you could save text in an audio file? This handy Automator Action allows you to paste in any text and creates an AIFF audio file using the Alex System Voice.
Text to Audio File 1.1 for Mac OS X is as easy as it gets. You simply paste in your own text, click the OK button and an AIFF file is immediately created. It would be nice if this Automator Action allowed the user to provide the name for the audio file – but you can simply rename the default “Audio.aiff” afterward.
