Did you know the window title or proxy icon could reveal the complete folder path for an object? You can do this to reveal a list of all the folders between the object and the root level. Mac OS X allows you to click on any folder in this list to make Finder open the folder. Here’s how.
Simply Command+Click, Control+Click or Right Click the window title or proxy icon (the little icon next to the title) in the title bar to make Mac OS X reveal a list showing the folder hierarchy on your hard drive.
Let’s say you have a special project folder and are working on a file that is stored within that folder. As you work, you may need to view or open other project files from the same folder. You could Command+Click the window title and click on a folder to have Finder open the folder for you.
