The iPhone onscreen keyboard conveniently offers a button within Mobile Safari. Wouldn’t it be nice to have this feature available in iPhone Mail, too? And why stop at .com – having other popular top-level domain choices would also be helpful. Here’s how to reveal these hidden choices on your iPhone keyboard.

Mobile Safari already offers a .com button on its onscreen keyboard but holding down this button for 2 seconds will display the other top-level domain choices, as well. Just hold down the .com key for 2 seconds, then slide your finger to choose.

Do you often use international top-level domains? Tap and go to and select from 30 international keyboards, besides English (at least in my iPhone v2.2.1 5H11).
If you select two or more languages, a Globe key will appear to the left of the space bar. You can repeatedly tap the Globe key to cycle through your languages to include the international top-level domain as an additional choice. For example, selecting the Czech international keyboard would add the domain to the row of choices.
