DV SE | Summer 2000 | Snow

The processor speed of the Special Editions were bumped up to 500MHz and hard drive capacity was increased to 30MB.

The bus speed remained the same at 100MHz but memory was doubled to 128MB and upgradeable to a total of 1GB, twice that of the original DV models of the previous year.

The Special Editions were Airport ready and included the ATI Rage Pro 128 graphics controller, VGA output port for mirrored VGA and FireWire support, as were its DV/DV+ siblings.

The Apple Pro Keyboard and Apple Pro Mouse were now standard equipment replacing the Apple USB keyboard and mouse.

While there were non-fruit colors before this series, (the original Bondi Blue iMac and the first special edition Graphite iMac of the previous year), the Summer 2000 models introduced a new line of non-fruit colors.

This special edition model was available in the new Graphite and Snow colors.

Other models in this series included a 350MHz iMac base model, 400MHz DV models in Indigo and Ruby and 450MHz DV+ models in Indigo, Ruby and Sage.
