Keyboard shortcut to put Mac to sleep

This tip is for those that prefer the keyboard to the mouse. The next time you wish to put your Mac to sleep, instead of selecting Apple → Sleep with your mouse, simply hold down Command+Option and press the Eject button. After a slight pause, your Mac will drift off into slumberland.
