Make iTunes sing like a bird

Music and podcasts seem to hog most of the attention but iTunes also offers hundreds of Internet Radio streams. Need help relaxing during a hectic workday? Try one of my favorite iTunes Radio streams – the soothing sound of birdsong.

Open iTunes and select in the Source list (left sidebar). If you do not see Radio, go to and make sure that “Radio” is checked on the General pane.
Next, click the disclosure triangle (the little triangle icon) next to the genre to display the streams within and double-click . Enjoy.
create a custom radio playlist
To create a custom playlist for your favorite Radio Stations, select and name the playlist something like “Favorite Radio Stations.” Then simply drag-and-drop your favorite Radio Stations to your new playlist.

At the time of this writing, the iTunes status bar indicated that a whopping 3,806 streams were contained within the 28 genres listed below.
