Preview for format conversion

You’ve probably used the Preview application on your Mac to save a file as a PDF. That’s a common export format for Mac users. But Preview is not limited to PDFs and has an abundant list of export formats that can be quite handy. Here are some other export formats you may wish to know about.
Have you ever needed to convert a JPEG image to PNG? Or maybe you needed to convert JPEG to GIF? That’s all in a day’s work for the bundled Preview program. You’ll find BMP, GIF, JPEG-2000, JPEG, PDF, Photoshop, PICT, PNG, SGI, TGA and TIFF under the menu. Or use the keyboard shortcut Command+Shift+S instead.
