There are several ways to access RSS feeds. The Apple Mail application that comes with each copy of Mac OS X is an RSS reader, as well as a mail client.
Modern browsers such as Safari and Firefox also include built-in feed readers. If your browser supports this feature, an RSS icon appears in the address bar. You can click the RSS icon and bookmark the feed.
You can also install a dedicated freeware or commercial feed reader and manually add each feed. These stand-alone feed readers, such as NewsGator, often provide richer features than the built-in reader found in browsers.
If you prefer Web-based feed readers such as Google Reader, My Yahoo! or Bloglines, look in the left column for popular services of this type. To add the Mactoids feed to one of these online feed readers, click its icon.
