Shortcut to the Safari Bookmark Bar

Shortcut to the Safari Bookmark BarYou are taking advantage of the Safari bookmark bar, right? This browser feature allows you to store your favorite sites right in the open for easy one-click access. But did you know that you could jump directly to any site on your bookmark bar using a simple keyboard shortcut instead of a mouse click? Here’s how.

Let’s suppose you have several sites saved on your bookmarks bar that you visit daily. Pressing Command+1 automatically opens the first bookmark starting from the left. Pressing Command+2 loadw the second bookmark, etc. Just use the Command key in combination with the number that corresponds with the order of the sites. In other words, if you want the third site to load, press Command+3. What could be simpler?

You might even consider adopting a bookmark bar naming scheme to help you remember this neat little tip. For instance: 1) Mactoids 2) Apple 3) eBay and so on.
