Tap instead of swipe on iPhone home screen

iPhone Home Screens
With the multitude of interesting iPhone applications – it doesn’t take very long to fill up several screens. Swiping your finger to navigate each screenful can get old with a large collection of iPhone apps. Here is an easier way to move through your iPhone home screens.

The iPhone uses a series of gray dots, located between the application icons and the Dock, to represent the number of home screens. The white dot indicates the position of the current screen.

Instead of swiping your finger to navigate between home screens, try tapping to the right or left of the dot indicators. The tap area spans horizontally from the dots to the edge of the screen. You can quickly jump back to the first home screen at any time by pressing the Home button.
